Caitlin began her career in reentry in 2008 at MCS-T.O.U.C.H., a non-profit organization that provides mentoring and wrap around services to adults returning from incarceration to Franklin County, OH.
While working there, Caitlin earned her Bachelors of Social Work from Capital University in 2011 and a Masters of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2012. She currently holds an LSW and is working toward a LISW.
In 2015, Caitlin took a position as the Administrative Assistant to the Director at the Franklin County Child Support Enforcement Agency where she assisted with grant applications, staff training in empathy, and escalated client calls. Caitlin left FCCSEA in July 2016 for her current position as a Reentry Support Specialist with the Franklin County Office of Homeland Security & Justice Programs. This position allows her to provide programming inside one of the county jails and connect individuals returning to Franklin County from incarceration with reentry specific services.
Caitlin is passionate about serving justice involved individuals and their families to reduce the collateral consequences of incarceration.
Latisha A. Chastang served as the Director of Planning and Research, and is now serving as the Interim Director of Emergency Assistance of IMPACT Community Action, serving Columbus and Franklin County. Her work in community action began with humble beginning by accepting a temporary Community Intake Specialist position in 2005.
During her tenure, Latisha has had several supervisory roles, worked in community outreach, emergency services, and developed programs and services in the area of financial services. In her current role, she has secured over $1 Million dollars in new funding sources to the agency, and assists program managers and directors with creating innovative services and programs.
Her personal life mission is to live each day with vision and purpose so that the talents and gifts she has will empower, encourage and promote people to live a virtuous and purpose filled life. She does this by being a giver of her time, talents, leading by example, and walks the talk by her work, words and deeds.
Finding her life’s purpose, she went back to finish her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from Franklin University, and her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Capella University being the first college graduate in her family.
Continuing to follow her passion in nonprofit work, she created Bright Minds Consulting, specializing in Nonprofit Management and Leadership for large and small nonprofit organizations. The vision came from her experience in the nonprofit sector and the need for staff, leadership and start up nonprofits to fully understand the business aspect of successfully managing an organization.
