Our Founder Ashia Bruton knows first hand how incarceration can have a domino affect the family. She noticed there weren't supportive services to address the emotional & social needs of families that were directly impacted by the incarceration of a parent and decided to take it upon herself to create a solution.
Unlocking Futures provides the following programs and services:
Social and emotional learning groups, parenting classes/education, and an annual toy drive for the holidays.
We seek to empower youths and families by improving release outcomes, reducing recidivism rates and assisting families in finding the resources necessary to thrive in their communities.
Unlocking Futures has a diverse board of directors with the commonality of empowering those who have been justice involved and assisting them and their families to thrive in the community. Click the link below to find out more!
